Community Links Scotland

2011 - 2012

Rosneath Peninsula West Community Development Trust appointed Community Links Scotland (CLS) in 2011, to establish the needs, priorities and aspirations for the community and incorporate them into a Rosneath Peninsula West Community Action Plan. The process involved one of our most intensive and extensive community consultations ever (1,200 local residents, 25 community groups and over 60 businesses), supported with statistical socioeconomic and policy research; we also employed an architect to draught designs for the environmental priorities highlighted.

The results were collated in an extensive and detailed community plan document, highlighting 18 individual projects subdivided into the categories of Business and Housing, Transport, Health and Welfare, Employment and Tourism, Environment and Community and Recreation. Funding suggestions and case studies of similar projects were also identified in order to help the Trust to take things forward.
