Community Links Scotland

2014

The scattered rural community of Cairndow in Argyll required a Community Plan; this would prioritise local aspirations in order that they could take best advantage of funds available to the community as a result of renewables’ developments (wind and hydro) in the area. In 2014, Community Links Scotland (CLS) were appointed to prepare the Plan which we developed following intensive community consultations, demographic analysis, policy research and discussion with statutory authorities and potential partners. The Plan included project profiles for each of the identified priority projects under headings including Transport, Infrastructure, Environment, Tourism, Health and Welfare, Housing and Business; these profiles outlined the steps, costs and potential funders for each project to assist the community towards the implementation of aspiration.
